Teeyan celebrates the monsoon and womanhood in Punjab. Traditionally women gather to dance the gidda, sing boliyan, swing on decorated peenghan (swings) hung from trees, and wear henna. Largely a cultural and seasonal festival enjoyed across Punjabi communities, with Hindu associations to Teej observances for marital wellbeing.
