Established by Guru Gobind Singh as a counterpoint to Holi, Hola Mohalla is a display of martial discipline and devotion. The Nihang Sikhs lead gatka (sword fighting), tent-pegging, horsemanship, and mock battles, alongside kirtan and kavi darbar (poetry). The largest gathering is at Anandpur Sahib.

Poetry recitation and kirtan.
In the diaspora
Some larger gurdwaras and Sikh organizations host gatka demonstrations and youth camps around this time.
